The sessions committee is working on developing the program for CiviCon Colorado 2016 and are receiving session topics through Friday March 18. The approach to the session tracks will be different than in previous years.
The sessions will be divided into two categories. One track will be focused on the CiviCRM product and will be divided into two segments: Beginner/User & Advanced/Implementer. The other track will be focused on the CiviCRM community.
At our wonderfully well-attended and interesting CiviDay Bristol (here and here), somehow I managed to become co-opted as the chief co-ordinator for CiviCON London 2016 - 6th-7th October - and I'm reliably informed that organising for this event starts now, or earlier even.
Skvare organized CiviDay in Dallas again this year. There were 12 attendees of varying backgrounds, from new users or those considering a CRM to experienced CiviCRM developers. Thanks to Improving for providing the meeting space!
Cividesk was happy to host another CiviDay in Paris, France with the collaboration of Talcod, an open source web agency dedicated to non-profit organizations.
We had about 20 participants, half of them totally new to CiviCRM, who came to discover the solution. Other participants were either already involved in CiviCRM projects, current end-users or preparing to begin using CiviCRM.
Most people going to Vail, CO go to ski. However, some come to work on making CiviCRM even better. High up in the Colorado Rocky Mountains ten people got together to squash bugs, work on CiviCRM for Drupal 8, enhance CiviCRM for WordPress, improve the payment processing tools, and update the end-user documentation.
I found myself diving into the best practices of effective user design—almost obsessively—as I took over the content design for the monthly CiviCRM newsletter in the fall of 2014. I learned a lot and I really enjoyed working with Dave, Michael, Josh and Linda!
