Further posts will explore the technologies used to run CiviCRM, the software development process, the CiviCRM community and communications, and lift the hood on how our statistics are created and processed.

CiviDay Denver was hosted by Cividesk and T4T Colorado and welcomed nearly 40 attendees under beautiful, sunny, Colorado skies in a comfortable atmosphere within the training center of the Colorado Collaborative for Nonprofits. Participants came with different objectives in mind: some to learn more about the possibilities of CiviCRM, and some who are new users of the database were seeking clarity on certain functionalities. More experienced users were in attendance to convene with the Civi community and attend workshops that would dig deeper into the capabilities of CiviCRM.
CiviDay Paris, organisé par Cividesk, a accueilli ses participants dans un café associatif place de la République : un utilisateur vétéran de CiviCRM, une organisation dans le domaine de l'environnement, et des consultants du monde associatif.
Cividesk will be offering several on-line CiviCRM classes during the month of February at a new time. These two-hour sessions are desgined for newer users and will focus on Contacts, Membership, Events and Contributions. Class size is kept small to allow for Q&A. In one of my previous jobs in the UK I was a debt & welfare benefits adviser and we used an off the shelf case management system. The cost for running it was quite significant - we paid about £1000 (UK GBP) per year for only 2 signons. This type of system is used by advice agencies throughout the UK, including the Citizens Advice Bureau.
We've been using Civi here in Pittsburgh, PA for a few years now and would love to connect with other local users.
I'm considering organizing a Pittsburgh Meet Up but don't want to be the only one sitting at the table!
Whether you are currently a CiviCRM user or a potential user, drop me a note (pmosey@chscorp.org) or add a comment here and let's get the ball rolling. Skill level is a non-factor.
